IVA FINAL PRESENTATION

Introduction of Visual Arts!
I really love this module as our task was to evaluate about a movie that has 18th/19th century art related stuff in it. The movie that we have chose was The Last Samurai, directed by Edward Zwick and Starring Tom Cruise and Ken Watanabe. I really love that movie! Lots of action and story moral value in the movie! I love the art direction too as well as the soundtrack! Really really epic!!

Basically, the movie set in Japan during the 1870s, The Last Samurai tells the story of Capt. Nathan Algren (Tom Cruise), a respected American military officer hired by the Emperor of Japan to train the country's first army in the art of modern warfare. As the Emperor attempts to eradicate the ancient Imperial Samurai warriors in preparation for more Westernized and trade-friendly government policies, Algren finds himself unexpectedly impressed and influenced by his encounters with the Samurai, which places him at the center of a struggle between two eras and two worlds, with only his own sense of honor to guide him.

After watching the film, we have to make a ppt about it and present it during our final lesson. The research and process was really tedious. Haha! But we managed to do it! Kind of easy for me.. hehehe!! Our presentation was good! Our lecturer like it! He was very engrossed when we presented our ppt! Without my awesome teamates which i call my brothers, the presentation would be a failure....

STAR WARS

Star Wars!! My most favourite Movie ever!!!! From episode 1 to 6! All the episode are awesome!! Best science fiction movie ever!! The action and the cg is really amazing and realistic!!

Aside from its well known science fictional technology, Star Wars features elements such asknighthood, chivalry, and princesses that are related to archetypes of the fantasy genre. The Star Warsworld, unlike fantasy and science-fiction films that featured sleek and futuristic settings, was portrayed as dirty and grimy. Lucas' vision of a "used future" was further popularized in the science fiction-horror films Alien, which was set on a dirty space freighter; Mad Max 2, which is set in a post-apocalyptic desert; and Blade Runner, which is set in a crumbling, dirty city of the future. Lucas made a conscious effort to parallel scenes and dialogue between films, and especially to parallel the journeys of Luke Skywalker with that of his father Anakin when making the prequels.

But i have i no idea why people hate star wars!!! Its worth the watch!!!

EPOS LIGHT

The EPOS Light is a concept for the world’s smallest cash register. Something like this could really increase the speed of service at a restaurant, for instance, but who knows if the cost would equal the benefits.

The EPOS-lite. The EPOS-lite is a concept for the worlds lightest cash register. Its design is inspired by the Apple MacBook Air and iPhone. The EPOS-lite is for use in hospitality departments and combines a compact cash register with a built-in menu. The quickly updated menu essentially saves businesses reprinting new menu data.

It features
- Built-in food and drink menu and payment optionsWireless charging via table it is placed upon.

The EPOS-lite was showcased at the University of Wolverhampton degree show '08 and at New Designers '08, London. The product received a great amount of positive feedback. During September '08 the EPOS-lite was featured on the Behance Network and became a worldwide hit. I am currently receiving interest from major companies to market the product in the near future.

Life in NAFA

Well, it's been two months already! And i really had a good time in NAFA! Such an awesome school, as well as great friends i got here!! School is yet awesome though the assignments and projects are crazy!!

Most of my lecturers here are kind and knowledgeable!! They are able to share their ideas and views easily with us! They never stop assisting us during our assignments and projects!

My classmates here are great!! Bunch of amazing talented people!!! Didn't expect that i'm able to be so close with them! We constantly help each other with our projects and assignments! Very helpful and kind! Although we've been together for two months or so, we are pretty close with each other! Seems like we've been friends for ages! Fortunate to have them!!

The Last Samurai

Samurai!! Always wanted to be a samurai since i was a kid!! It's just so cool and it really really looks like a total badass with those armours and katana swords....

I was influenced by the movie i watched when i was kid! One of the best film i've watched! Directed by Edward Zuwick and featuring Tom Cruise as the main lead actor in the film! Movie name is The Last Samurai! It's an epic war film genre. My favourite! I love war films!! Basically, the movie depicts in the 1870s, Captain Nathan Algren, a cynical veteran of the American Civil war who will work for anyone, is hired by Americans who want lucrative contracts with the Emperor of Japan to train the peasant conscripts for the first standing imperial army in modern warfare using firearms. The imperial Omura cabinet's first priority is to repress a rebellion of traditionalist Samurai -hereditary warriors- who remain devoted to the sacred dynasty but reject the Westernizing policy and even refuse firearms. Yet when his ill-prepared superior force sets out too soon, their panic allows the sword-wielding samurai to crush them. Badly wounded Algren's courageous stand makes the samurai leader Katsumoto spare his life; once nursed to health he learns to know and respect the old Japanese way, and participates as advisor in Katsumoto's failed attempt to save the Bushido tradition, but Omura gets repressive laws enacted- he must now choose to honor his loyalty to one of the embittered sides when the conflict returns to the battlefield...

P I Z Z A

My number one favourite food!! Pizza! I just love eating them especially those feeshly baked hot from the oven!! Cheese and Pepperoni!! Well, let me share with you people bits of the history behind this delicious pizzas!!! The word pizza came from the Latin verb pìnsere, to press and from the Greek pēktos, πηκτός, meaning "solid" or "clotted".

A popular urban legend holds that the archetypal pizza, Pizza Margherita, was invented in 1889, when the Royal Palace of Capodimonte commissioned the Neapolitan pizzaiolo Raffaele Esposito to create a pizza in honor of the visiting Queen Margherita. Of the three different pizzas he created, the Queen strongly preferred a pie swathed in the colors of the Italian flag: red (tomato), green (basil), and white (mozzarella). Supposedly, this kind of pizza was then named after the Queen as Pizza Margherita, though recent research casts doubt on this legend.

Many varieties of pizza exist worldwide, along with several dish variants based upon pizza. Pizza is cooked in various types of ovens, and a diverse variety of ingredients and toppings are utilized. Most of the time, i would buy pizzas from Canadian Pizzas or Saprino pizzas. To me, their pizzas are the best!! I'm craving for pizza right now!
